Hollister resident
Hollister resident Elaine G. Fugate died Saturday, March 22, 2003 at Stanford University Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was 63.

Mrs. Fugate was born in Rochester, N.Y. and had lived in Hollister since May 2002, when she moved here from San Jose. Prior to her retirement she was owner and operator of Daine Products, an electronics business, for 18 years. She had earlier been a beautician and owned her own hair salon, Hair Conspiracy.

She was a member of St. Christopher’s Catholic Church in San Jose and was also a Eucharistic minister. She was a former member with her husband of the Campbell Moose Lodge in San Jose.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Sue and Jeff Marsh of Hollister and Steve and Rita Fugate of Les Tuieleries, Switzerland; her mother, Assunta Harris of San Jose; her brother, Chuck Granata of Pollock Pines; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Fugate, in June 2000.

Memorial services will be held Friday, March 28 at 11 a.m. at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, 1576 Curtner Ave. in San Jose. Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home and Crematory in Hollister.

Memorials are preferred to Jovenes de Antano at the Senior Citizens Center, 300 West St., or in care of the funeral home.
