Ellen Gale Roth died July 29, 2004 at Ridgefield, Wash. She was 59 years old.

Mrs. Roth was born on April 1, 1945 in San Francisco and lived in Hollister for 15 years before moving to Washington four years ago. She was an assembly worker for a cable manufacturing company in the electronics industry. She was a very active member of the St. Mary of Guadalupe Catholic Church and was involved in the women’s bible study. She loved cats and enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and reading and writing poetry and short stories. She also enjoyed listening to music and watching British comedy on TV. She was known for her good sense of humor.

Mrs. Roth is survived by her husband of 37 years, James Patrick Roth; two daughters, Christina Overstreet of Fremont and Amanda Roth of San Jose; and her sister Marion Harper. She was the loving mother to son-in-law Peter Overstreet and future son-in-law Joseph Palao.

Services were held in Ridgefield with Layne’s Funeral Home in care of the arrangements.
