Emma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 26th after a courageous two and a half year battle with mesothelioma cancer. She was born, raised, and lived her whole life in Hollister. Emma is survived by her husband of 57 years, Edward Perreira; her five children, Terri Maddux, Richard Perreira, Steve Perreira, Shirley Perreira, and Keith Perreira; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She graduated from Sacred Heart School and San Benito High School. Emma was an active member of Sacred Heart/St. Benedict Catholic Church. Emma worked at John Borges Photography and Healthy Concepts, but her greatest love was being a wife, mother, and “nana”.

Friends are invited to attend the celebration of Emma’s life on Thursday December 2nd, 2010 at Sacred Heart Church on 5th & College Streets in Hollister beginning with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of The Resurrection at 10:30 A.M. As per Emma’s wishes, cremation will have been held with private interment.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hospice of San Benito County or St. Benedicts Building Fund c/o Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home, 870 San Benito St., Hollister. Visit: www.grunnagle.com for condolences
