Born in Jerome, Arizona on June 29, 1918, Esperanza passed away peacefully on Good Friday, April 6, 2007, with all of her children at her bedside. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church since the late 1940’s, when she and her late husband Daniel established their home in the Gilroy area. She was a giving, humble, loving and spiritual person who enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Her children’s involvement in their respective communities was acknowledged in 1993 when the family was chosen as the Hispanic Family of The Year for Santa Clara County.

She is survived by her loving children: Delva Villalobos, Maria Saenz, Tony Morales, Daniel Morales, Charlie Morales, Alfonso Morales, Margaret Rebecchi, Martha Kline, Oscar Morales, Joe Morales and Jesse Morales. In additiion, she is survived by 42 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel in 1992.

A mass was held at St. Mary Catholic Church with burial following at Gavilan Cemetery in Gilroy on Tuesday, April 11, 2007.
