in Hollister. She was 98.
Esther Medina died early Sunday morning at her daughter’s home in Hollister. She was 98.

She was born in Monterey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and came to Hollister from Harlingen, Texas in 1965.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Yolanda and Carlos Hernandez of Hollister, Robert and Vences Favila of San Jose and Roland and Linda Garcia of Milpitas.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Diane DelValles of Hollister, Norma Hernandez of Sacramento, Sandra Hernandez of Sacramento, Arlene Favila of San Jose, Fabian Favila of Sacramento and Sarah Garcia of Milpitas and her great- granddaughter Anissa DelValles of Hollister.

She is also survived by 11 other grandchildren and preceded in death by her two sons, Jose Favila and Ramiro Favila.

Vigil services will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at 7 p.m. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. Rev. John Amelio of Glad Tidings Church will officiate.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Duane Cashion of Grace Bible Church will officiate.

Cremation will follow the funeral services at Gavilan Hills Crematory.

Friends can pay their respects at the funeral home chapel Tuesday from noon until 9 p.m.
