Ethel McGettrick died Wednesday, Oct. 15 at Stanford Medical Center. She was 79.

She was born in Gulfport, Ill., and came to Hollister from Redding, Calif., in 1976. She was employed for many years as a telephone operator before retiring. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Evelyn Nugen of Redding; nieces and nephews Marvin Page of Phoenix, Ariz., Sandra Ogden of Sumner, Wash., Roger Page of Redding and Janice Page of Redding. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Friday, Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. Rev. Claudio Cabrera of Sacred Heart Church will officiate.

Inurnment will be at the IOOF Cemetery Columbarium.

Donations may be made to St. Benedict’s Church Building Fund in care of Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.

Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory.
