Bozzo of Gilroy passed away in San Jose on Sunday, June 22,
following a lengthy illness. He was 75. Jim was born in Gilroy,
attended local schools and graduated from Gilroy High School. He
was a former owner of Bozzo’s Union 76 on First Street in
Gilroy.

Eugenio “Jim” Bozzo of Gilroy passed away in San Jose on Sunday, June 22, following a lengthy illness. He was 75. Jim was born in Gilroy, attended local schools and graduated from Gilroy High School. He was a former owner of Bozzo’s Union 76 on First Street in Gilroy.

He is survived by Joan Bozzo, his loving wife of 50 years, and his sons and their wives: David and Leslie Bozzo, Bob and Toni Bozzo, Frank and Michele Bozzo, Jim and Noreen Bozzo, Gary Bozzo, and Terry Bozzo, all of Gilroy; and Ed Bozzo of San Martin. He is the brother-in-law of survivors Frances Bozzo, and Jerry and Pauline Hillesheim of Gilroy, and Jonn Mick of Vancouver, Bristish Columbia.

Bozzo is also survived by 10 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is today at Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy from 2 to 8 p.m., with the family present between 6 and 8 p.m. The funeral service will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, and will proceed to St. Mary Catholic Church for a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.

The family would appreciate donations to St. Joseph’s Family Center in Gilroy in his memory.
