Evy passed away at Pacific Hills Manor at the age of 96. She was born in Croton NY. She was a retired Receiver of Taxes with the state of NY and came to live with her brother Bill, his wife Hetty and their daughter Carol, in Morgan Hill in 1970. She is survived by her sister-in-law Hetty, and her nephew Tony, in Morgan Hill.
Evy was a devoted member of St. John’s Church, a member of the Happy Sounds singing group for 25 years, and to the end, an avid fan of the Oakland A’s.
A remembrance service will be held at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church on Saturday Aug 11, 2007 at 11 A.M. at 17740 Peak Ave, Morgan Hill.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Evy Smith’s memory to St. John’s Episcopal Church
