In the Free Lance Feb. 24, Annette Giacomazzi says about voters and Measure G, “I think they’re confused.”

If true, it is only because the opponents of Measure G have worked to create confusion.

But what is confusing about setting a growth cap similar to the one we have now and requiring a vote of the people to change it? What part of “voter controlled growth” do the measure’s opponents not understand?

It’s also not hard to understand what San Benito County will look like if we go on without a growth control measure. Just take a drive north on 101. Try to avoid the rush hours, though, for the sake of your mental and physical health.

The fate of San Benito County will be decided by its voters March 2 and, then, if Measure G passes it will always be in the hands of its voters.
