A big rig flipped on its side at 12:15 p.m. today closing eastbound traffic on Highway 152, according to the California Highway Patrol. The lane is expected to be closed until 5:45 p.m.

There were no injuries, according to CHP.

The truck was headed westbound at 152 and flipped near the intersection of Highway 152 and Lover’s Lane, to the east of Gilroy, according to CHP. The back end of the double-trailer semi truck immediately flipped onto its side. The load in the front trailer later shifted about 12:30 p.m. and became ready to fall. The unit on scene then ordered a road closure.

About 2:20 p.m., Caltrans and CHP began using the westbound lane to handle alternating eastbound and westbound traffic, according to CHP.
