Flora B. Carter, loved dearly by her family, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2008 at her home in Gilroy at the age of 90. Flora spent the last 55 years of her life in Gilroy with her beloved husband of 65 years, Harmon Carter, who predeceased her in 2005. She worked and retired in Gilroy as secretary of Brownell Elementary School.She loved to cook and entertain. She loved to play cards with her friends and she loved her grandchildren. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her daughter Joanne Churchill, her son and his wife, Tom and Claudia Carter, her 5 grandchildren, Jana, Winston, Jodi, Andrea and Tommy, her 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at her home at 7380 Crews Rd, Gilroy, Ca on Sunday October 26, at 1:00 P.M. Donations in Flora’s name may be made to Odyssey Health Care or the Alzheimer’s Assn.
