Floy Stockton Ebaugh was entered into rest on September 12, 2008 in Campbell River, British Columbia. She was born in Bakersfield to Irving and Gladys Stockton. Floy graduated from Bakersfield High School and attended U.C.L.A. In 1946 she married Dr. James Ebaugh. They moved to Gilroy in 1948. She then went on to graduate from San Jose State University and worked as an elementary teacher in Gilroy for twenty years. Following her retirement, Floy traveled extensively throughout the world and spent her summers on Quadra Island in British Columbia. She was an enthusiastic member of the American Association of University Women and a 110 year old Gilroy organization known as F.R.F.G.
Two of her children, David Ebaugh (Ellen) and Nancy Hays predecease her. Floy is survived by her caring husband, local retired veterinarian, James Ebaugh, who valiantly cared for her during a long period of illness. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Laura Stocks (Dave) of Gilroy; son Mark Ebaugh (Torrey) of Madera; her siblings Gladys Ann Moore (Frank) and Irving Stockton (Helene) of Bakersfield, along with her many grandchildren, Adam Ebaugh (Michelle) and James C. Ebaugh (Nicole) of Spokane; Heather Ancheta (Lawrence) of Gilroy; Catarina Gallardo (Noal Grover) of San Francisco; Isaac Gallardo of Gilroy; Trent Ebaugh and Brennan Ebaugh of Madera, and her great-grandchildren, Ryan, Emily, and Jameson Ebaugh of Spokane and Kalea Ancheta of Gilroy.

Services with a reception to follow will be held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 651 Broadway, Gilroy, CA at 1 P.M. Saturday, October 11, 2008.
