Jeff Garcia and Daunte Culpepper, who will lead their respective teams against one another Saturday night, were named the United Football League’s co-Offensive Players of the Week for Week 2.

Garcia’s 12-yard touchdown pass to Robert Ferguson with six ticks left on the clock propelled the Omaha Nighthawks to a thrilling comeback win 27-26 in the team’s UFL debut last Friday. Garcia connected on 23 of 39 passes for 226 yards, including three touchdowns.

Culpepper, who takes the snaps for the Sacramento Mountain Lions, formally the California Redwoods, led his team to a 24-20 win over the Florida Tuskers, setting a single-game UFL record with 374 passing yards. Culpepper punctuated his evening with a game-winning strike of his own, finding Rod Windsor in the end zone with 31 seconds remaining.

The Nighthawks (1-0) and the Mountain Lions (1-1) play Saturday at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Neb.
