Rancho Paloma De Paz (Home of the Dove of Peace) – – Huck died peacefully in his sleep with his wife of 49 years, Fran, by his side in the country Retreat they called home.
He will be missed by daughters Kira and Krista; sons-in-law Eric and Scott; grandsons Rafton, Brody and Archer and a sea of extended family and friends.
He was a man of strong faith, character and opinions. He took pride in his Ohio roots, his Navy adventures, his accomplishments at United Defense (FMC) including work with the Bradley, and his time as a Columnist at the Gilroy Dispatch. Huck had a gift for writing, storytelling and finessing a punch line. He had a deep appreciation for inspired music, good food and rich conversation.
He embodied the words husband, father, friend, neighbor. He touched countless hearts and lives with his wisdom, humor and principles.
We will gather to celebrate Huck’s life on August 19, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at Gilroy Presbyterian Church. Donations may be made to the Gilroy High School Choir Program in Huck’s memory.
