Dee Hone, a former San Benito County philanthropist who won chamber of commerce woman of the year in January 2003, passed away recently.

The following is her obituary as published in the Free Lance:

Beloved Dolores Dee Hone passed away at 86 years old on March 10, 2017 at her Son’s house in La Selva Beach California. She peacefully fell asleep and went to heaven to be with her loving husband Wayne.

Dee was born in Syracuse New York on June 15, 1930. Dee was survived by her five children, Tucker, Lynette, Robin, Michel, and Cindy along with her brother Carmen, 14 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband Wayne Hone, her mother Mary Caruso Daino Heider, and Father Anthony Daino.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday March 18, 2017 at the Christ Fellowship Presbyterian Church, 2066 San Benito St, Hollister, CA.
