Frank L. Alexander died March 12, 2004 at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. He was 64.

He was born Jan. 23, 1940. He came to San Benito County 35 years ago and resided in Tres Pinos. He attended Salinas High School and received his associate’s degree from Hartnell Junior College.

He was a former member of Hollister Lodge No. 1436, BPOE, C.A.P.C.A., Northern California Golf Association, Bolado Park Golf Club and the Bolado Park Mens Club. He was a pesticide control agent for Soil Serv Inc. for 35 years before retiring three years ago.

He enjoyed being with people. “He cared about folks and was a loyal friend,” his wife Tia said.

Frank is survived by his wife Tia Alexander of Tres Pinos, brother Dean Alexander of Salinas, daughter Jenifer Friedle of Templeton, Calif. and grandchildren Jason and Jakob Friedle of Templeton.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Jill Alexander.

Friends are invited to a celebration of Frank’s life on Sunday, March 21 between 1 and 4 p.m. at The Inn At Tres Pinos, 6991 Airline Highway, Tres Pinos.

Private arrangements for cremation have been made through Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home and Crematory, 870 San Benito St., Hollister. Private inurnment will be held.
