Hollister – Hollister Police officers continue to investigate a recent rash of gang-related shootings, but no arrests have been made, Captain Richard Vasquez said Monday.

“We’re following up all the leads,” he said. “Our goal is to try to arrest the people involved as soon as possible.”

Vasquez could not comment on the specific nature of the leads that detectives are investigating because the four cases are ongoing, he said.

A drive-by shooting in November that injured one man and left 15 bullet holes in a Sherwood Drive home came on the heels of three gang-related shootings in October in which three Hollister teens were sent to the hospital with shotgun wounds. The three shootings in October occurred on Central Avenue. The time proximity of the shootings concerned police about the escalating gang violence.
