The high school is likely to have larger classroom sizes with an array of cuts scheduled for next year.

Gavilan College has announced that new students, continuing students and high school students can register for spring and winter intercession classes.

The classes will provide the opportunity to earn transferable units in a short period of time, according to a Gavilan College press statement. Spring semester classes start Jan. 28 and are being offered in Gilroy, Morgan Hill, Hollister and online. 

Interested students can register online through Jan. 27 at www.gavilan.edu or register in person in Gilroy, Morgan Hill and Hollister through Jan. 26. To register online, create a self-service account by going to www.gavilan.edu and clicking on “Self-Service Banner.” Follow the directions to obtain a Gavilan I.D. and PIN number, according to the college’s statement.

In-person registration takes place in Gilroy between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays.

In Morgan Hill and Hollister, registration takes place every day between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. In-person registration will be closed Dec. 24, Jan. 1, Jan. 19 and Jan. 27 in all locations.

New students must take an assessment test at least 48 hours prior to registering. Call (408) 846-4992 to schedule your assessment.
