For all those creative, artistic minds out there, the Gavilan College Faculty Association is seeking your assistance in creating a logo that will embody the spirit of the institution’s Spring fundraising event, entitled “Sowing Seeds, Nurturing Dreams.”
The event, which will take place April 25 at the Gavilan College Student Center (5055 Santa Teresa Blvd. in Gilroy), “will showcase student creativity and dreams, as well as great local food and wine,” according to a press release from the college. There will also be a silent auction benefitting Gavilan students.
The logo contest winner – anyone is welcome to submit their design – will receive a $100 prize and two tickets to the event. The deadline for submission is by 4 p.m. Oct. 1.
The contest rules state that the logo must be distinct and original; be a simple graphic that can be scanned and duplicated; and should fit on a white piece of standard 8.5 x 11 paper.
