bring solar and green technology training to Gilroy.
Gavilan College has teamed up with Pacific Technical College to bring solar and green technology training to Gilroy.

The college will offer two programs – a 40-hour option in Solar PV Installation, Design, and Integration, and a 60-hour option that includes the 40-hour curriculum plus an additional 20 hours of instruction in AutoCAD. These are fee-based programs. The 40-hour program costs $1,600 and the 60-hour program costs $2,490.

Classes will meet from 5 to 9 p.m. Fridays and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays on the weekends of Oct. 29-31, Nov. 5-7 and Nov. 19-21 at Gavilan College, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd., in room HU 104. The final weekend will only be for students enrolled in the curriculum that includes instruction in AutoCAD.
