It’s time to update those resumes, dry-clean that business attire and brush up on some interviewing skills because Gavilan College has lined up 46 organizations for its annual career day at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Student Career Center at 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd. in Gilroy.

Admission is free to students and the general public for this three-hour employment event, where attendees can gain insight into industry job prospects, trends and career paths.

“This is a time for employers to connect with students and the public and let them know about career opportunities and job openings,” said College Spokeswoman Jan Bernstein-Chargin. “For a few years now, employer participation has been low. This year, all of the presenter spots are filled – some employers were even turned away due to lack of space.”
