Ginni Bono-Souza born in Duluth, Minnesota, passed away on May 22, 2007 at the age of 74. She is preceded in death by her parents, O.Torger and Mable Haug, her husband, John Bono of Gilroy and Ernest Souza of Santa Clara. She is survived by her son Mark Souza, daughter-in-law Shannon, grandchildren Brittney and Alexandra of Gilroy, her brother Curtis Haug and wife Ester of Modesto, sister-in-law Marilee Gullo and husband Mario of Santa Clara and many nieces and nephews.
Ginni moved to Gilroy with her family in 1976 where she worked at Ford’s Department Store and later became a downtown merchant. A member of the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce and a long term member of the Toastmasters Club. Ginni was involved in many activities such as president of Crippled Childrens Society of Santa Clara County and director of the Miss Gilroy Garlic pageants. A private memorial service will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Gilroy on May 28, 2007 at 10 A.M.
