The San Benito water polo team lost 11-5 at Live Oak Wednesday.
The Acorns, who haven’t lost in seven games in league this year were ranked 10th in the Central Coast Section.
But the Balers stayed close until the final minutes of the game. The Balers were within 6-4 but were unable to hold on after the Acorns rallied late.
The Balers will wrap up their season on Oct. 30 when Notre Dame comes to visit. The Tri-County Athletic League finals will be the following week.
