Glenn has gone to be with our Lord and Savior, where he will enjoy eternal rest. He died peacefully in his home on Saturday, April 26. He was a kind and honorable man, always doing what he could for others.

He was born in Hollister, California, and was raised on a small family farm. In 1943 he entered the U.S. Army Air Corps as an aviation cadet. He became a bombardier and First Lieutenant. He flew on long water missions from his home base on Shemya, Alaska. Several of his missions were precarious, often returning to base with missing engines. Glenn received two air medals and the Distinguished Flying Cross. After his time in the service he returned to Salinas, California and became an electrician, a trade he worked at most of his life.

In 1979 he moved with his wife to Albany, Oregon. Then in 1981, he became an electrical inspector for Linn County, retiring in 1989.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eunice Maduine (Harper) Blacklock, sons Gary George and Timothy Jon; grandchildren Cameron, Ashley, and Whitney; and great-grandchildren Olivia, Chase and Bella.

There will be a Graveside service for Glenn at Oakville Cemetery on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. A celebratory gathering will take place after the service to honor Glenn’s life and will be held at the home of Gary and Linda Blacklock.

Flowers or donations may be made in Glenn’s honor to the Pacific Heart, Lung & Blood Institute, a research institute and lab engaged in the fight against mesothelioma. Donations may be sent to the funeral home. AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling the arrangements (www.aasum-dufour.com).
