Gloria Gibson passed away Saturday afternoon at her home in Paicines at the age of 84. She was born in San Francisco and came to San Benito County in 1946, when she married her husband, Jack. Jack Gibson passed away in 1997. Gloria was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tres Pinos. She loved cooking and entertaining family and friends, along with crocheting and traveling with her husband, Jack.
Gloria is the loving mother of Linda Naegle of Paicines and the late James Peter Gibson, who died in 1984. Gloria was the grandmother of Lukina Montes, husband, Juan, and John Naegle, wife, Sofia, all of Gonzales, and great-grandmother of Alex and Nico Montes, and Noemi and Luke Naegle, all of Gonzales. she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be offered Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 10 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tres Pinos. Private inurnment will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Hollister. Contributions are preferred to the American Heart Assn. or the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
