Hollister resident Gloria R. Alvarez died Thursday, July 24, at the age of 51.

She had lived in Hollister for the past seven years and was born in Mexico. She worked in agriculture before getting sick.

Alvarez is survived by sons Dennis Arciniega and Jose Davalos, both of Hollister; and sisters Reyna Alvarez and Lilia Alvarez, both of Mexico.

Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory. A private family inurnment is planned.
