Pros: While the site is a great place to go to watch missed episodes, it has plenty of other fun stuff to do for anyone who can’t get enough of Michael, Jim, Pam and the rest of the Dunder-Mifflin crew.
One of the recent additions to the site is the Office “Addictionary” where users can add their own unique words and definitions. The words tend to be really funny – and often misused – based on Michael’s propensity for mixing up words.
On the site users can read blogs by Meredith, the office alcoholic who has a tendency to get involved in inappropriate relationships.
In addition, users can sign up for the monthly Dunder-Mifflin newsletter. The most recent newsletter has pieces by four cast members including the new HR person, boss Michael Scott, the office celebrity gossiper and the office geek. Past newsletters are posted online for those who want to talk a look at them.
At the Dunder-Mifflin Infinity site, users can play games, post comments and chat with other users. A registration is required for that site, and users join a branch. One of the online games is the matching baby pictures game featured in an episode a few weeks ago where Angela posted baby pictures of all the employees.
Cons: The connection between the two sites can be a little confusing. A click on something on the NBC site automatically transfers users to Dunder-Mifflin without notifying them. But once there, a registration is required.
And for those who want to watch the videos online, sometimes the web player works great and sometimes it doesn’t.
