Previously, San Benito recorded team scores of 230 and 248 at the Gilroy Golf Course and Coral de Tierra, respectively, on Oct. 18 and Oct. 12. The Balers’ 230 led to an easy victory over both Gilroy (304) and Christopher (339), where as their 248 was second behind Salinas (237) but well ahead of both Alvarez (305) and Notre Dame (311).
San Benito is off until Monday when it will compete at the Tri-County Athletic League Championships at Salinas Golf and Country Club. Tee time is 12 p.m.
Head coach Chris Branon said a team score of 465 or better over 18 holes will qualify a team toward the Central Coast Section Championships, while an individual score of 93 will also equal a postseason ticket.
