Pro golfer and commentator Peter Jacobsen was named the Honoree of the 2013 Frys.com Open Tuesday.
Jacobsen, a Portland, Ore. native, has seven PGA Tour victories — including the 1994 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. He also won twice on the Champions Tour, including a victory at the 2004 U.S. Senior Open Championship.
In addition to his pro career, Jacobsen works as a commentator for the Golf Channel and NBC. He will be the lead commentator at the Frys.com Open held Oct. 9-13 at CordeValle Golf Course.Â
