Two days after it finished second in a three-team meet with Stevenson and Notre Dame, the San Benito girls golf team rebounded to defeat Everett Alvarez 250-311 on Wednesday at the Salinas Golf and Country Club.

San Benito’s Morgan DiDomenico medaled the round with a 45 on the par-36 front nine.

Teammate Emiley Palmquist followed with a 46, while Nicole Rianda trailed with a 49. Mandy Glosser carded a 53 for the Balers and Lexi Branon rounded out the team with a 57.

Christine “Critter” Ceglia also shot a 60 for San Benito.

Things didn’t go as well for the Balers on Monday, however. In a three-team meet with Stevenson and Notre Dame at the Ridgemark Golf and Country Club, San Benito recorded a better score — a 246 — but couldn’t keep pace with Stevenson, which shot a 231.

Stevenson’s Deanna Lee medaled the round with a 42 on the par-36 front nine of the Diablo Course.

Notre Dame finished a distant third with a team score of 310.

Palmquist led the Balers with a 45, LaShea Dailey carded a 48, while the remainder of San Benito shot in the 50s. Branon and DiDomenico each shot a 50, while Rianda rounded out the scoring with a 53.

Jordan Davies also recorded a 54 for the Balers.

San Benito will again square off against Notre Dame next Wednesday at the Ridgemark Golf and Country Club. Tee time is 3 p.m.
