Now the California Supreme Court agrees and hopefully this three-part waste of San Benito County time, money and attention is dead.

Earthjustice, which displayed a lot of money and little direction in its supposed quest to protect the environment, will hopefully find one of the many worthy causes to focus on.

The out-of-county lawyers tried to bully their way past the legal system to subvert a properly mandated vote. Thankfully, common and legal sense prevailed during the three times it appeared before a judicial body and it was quickly shot down at each juncture.

There is less than two months before the March vote. Again, we recommend the two Consensus Building workshops that are slated for Jan. 14 and Jan. 21.

They are real attempts to educate county residents not only on Measure G, but all related growth facts and issues that will go beyond it as we try to plan for current and future generations.

While it is hard to imagine how the issue of county growth has had to come through this long and litigious trail – thanks to such a blatant lack of leadership by past and current county supervisors – at least there is still hope.

We urge you to attend one or both workshops and again point out that the entire Measure G, along with a helpful Measure G Matrix, are available on our Web site at www.freelancenews.com.

And we welcome your daily views on our Opinion page in our signed or unsigned forums.

Thank goodness McGovern and her out-of-county Earthjustice meddlers have finally been shown the door.

A vote on Measure G will be held and then the good people of San Benito County can move ahead, join together and plot the crucial course for its future from there.
