The site of the new Grocery Outlet was under renovations as of Friday, as shown here.

Grocery Outlet plans to open its new Hollister store June 23, according to a spokeswoman for the company.
Grocery Outlet is taking over the former Goodwill and Hi Outlet locations at 550 Tres Pinos Road. Goodwill last year moved down the road to 1703 Airline Highway into the Rite Aid shopping center. Hi Outlet has moved to a new spot at 549 San Benito St.
The new Hollister Grocery Outlet plans to open June 23, according to a spokeswoman. It will include 15,285 square feet of floor space, she said.
The San Benito County Chamber of Commerce plans to work with the grocer, which recently joined the local business advocacy organization, on a ribbon cutting that same week, said Juli Vieira, the chamber’s president and CEO. The chamber is also talking with Grocery Outlet about helping with a job fair for the business.
The Grocery Outlet’s public relations representative said such job fairs are handled locally, and added that the stores typically employ about 30 people.
With the renovation of the building that will house Grocery Outlet, that entire shopping center has gone through a revival since a late 2013 fire burned down part of it.
A December 2013 fire destroyed the building that housed Dollar Tree, Larry’s Liquors and Neighborhood Pizza. Dollar Tree and Larry’s Liquors have reopened.
