Guadalupe Ortega went to sleep in the Lord on December 26, 2010.
He enjoyed spending time with all his family, working in his yard, and loved baseball and was a member of the Hollister Sacred Heart Church.
He was predeceased by his daughter Gricelda Ortega. He is survived by his wife Maria de Jesus of 60 years of marriage; his children Lupe Ortega, Raul Ortega, Martha Vasquez, Robert Ortega, Elidia Rojas and Ruby Castillo; his grandchildren Jesse, Isaac and Alex Ortega; Raul, Jessica, Carina, Jose Luis, and Danny Ortega; Joey, Krystal,and Rene Vasquez; and Katrina Miranda; Ramsey, Zinnia and Ulyses Ortega; Isaiah, Alex and Ryan Rojas; and Serina, Marissa, and Keahna Castillo. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the mortuary chapel on Thursday, Dec. 30th, 2010, from 10:00:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. with the recitation of the rosary beginning at 7:00 P.M.
Family and friends will leave the mortuary chapel Friday morning at 9:30 A.M. to attend at Mass of The Resurrection at St. Benedict’s Church, 1200 Fairview Rd., Hollister, beginning at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
