Hal Rebsom passed away at his residence on October 21st at the age of 81 years. He was a native of North Dakota. Before moving to Hollister 23 years ago, Hal worked 30 years for Lockheed Martin as a electronics and computer specialist. It was at Lockheed Martin that he met Louise Schwarz, his wife to be, and they have been married 27 years. A Navy Veteran of WWII, Hal served in the South Pacific and at New Guinea. Besides a deep interest in electronics and wood working, Hal was an avid wood carver, chess player, reader of Civil War History and Discovery Journals and a musician who played the guitar, banjo, and mandolin. “He was Mr. Fixit”, said his family.

In addition to his wife Louise, surviving are his daughters, Shelly Volk of Oregon, Gail LaForge (spouse Gene) of Hollister; Joyce Lynch (Dan) of Marble Falls, TX; and Linda Cambra (Jack) of Santa Clara; his sons, Donnie Rebsom of Sunnyvale and Tom Rebsom of Washington; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; 3 brothers living in No. Dakota; and many nieces and nephews. His son, James Rebsom, predeceased Hal.

As per his wishes, arrangements have been made for private cremation and inurnment through Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory.
