Passed at his home on Saturday, October 14, 2006, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Margaret Duran Aguero of Gilroy, father of Theresa Dominguez of Gilroy, Hector Aguero Jr. of Oregon, Lorie Aguero of Salinas, Allison Aguero of San Jose, step-father of Raul Salgado of Manteca, Sonia Salgado of Gilroy and Cindy Vega of Bakersfield, grandfather of 22 and . great-grandfather of 3, brother of Henry Aguero of San Jose, Anita Kuivenhoven of Strathmore, CA, Maria Hernandez of Lindsay, Cha Cha Madril of Visalia and the late Edward Aguero. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He moved to Gilroy in 1945 from Del Rio, Texas and graduated from Gilroy High School. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and worked as a self-employed electrician for many years. He was a member of the Gilroy American Legion and Veteran of Foreign Wars.

Vigil Thursday, October 19, 2006 – 7:00 pm at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy. Funeral Services will begin Friday, 11:00 am, at the funeral home, then to St. Mary’s Church for Mass at 12:00 Noon. Graveside Military Honors by Gilroy American Legion and VFW will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gilroy.
