Hollister resident Helen M. Felice died suddenly in her home Thursday at the age of 62.

Felice was a member of Sacred Heart Church; a former 4-H leader for Sunnyslope and Union 4-H clubs; a member of the A.F.S. Program; a member of the Baler Band Boosters; member of N.D.G.W. San Juan Parlor. She loved cooking, sewing, knitting, needle work, canning and baking – some of which she entered in the county fair each year. Felice was very fond of her dachshund Max.

For 15 years, Felice worked at Wells Fargo Bank locations in Hollister and Gilroy. Upon retiring, she also worked at Dick Gularte’s Chevron Station on Prospect and Nash in the minimart.

Felice was preceded in death by father Mervin Payne Sr. She is survived by husband Frank D. Felice Sr. of Hollister; mother Eleanor Silacci of Gilroy; step-mother Opal Payne of Modesto; daughter Gina Felice-Muna and husband Pete of Seaside; daughter Nancy Felice-Schindle and husband Ken of Vancouver, British Columbia; son Frank D. Felice Jr. and wife Kristy of Hollister; grandson Dominic Felice of Hollister; sister Ellen Dilbeck; brothers Brad Payne, Steve Payne, Mervin Payne Jr., Peter Payne, Charles Payne and John Salazar; and numerous other family members.

Visitation will be at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home today from noon to 5 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time. Friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the mortuary chapel Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Memorials can be given to the South Valley Dialysis Center in Gilroy or the Heart Fund, care of the mortuary.
