A memorial service will be held at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home, 870 San Benito St. on Monday, September 16, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. A reception will follow the ceremony, the place to be announced at the memorial. Viewing will be on Sunday, September 15, 2013, at the mortuary between 3:00 and 6:00 P.M.  Helen V. Wright of Hollister, California passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at the age of 98. She was born on December 14, 1914, near Salem, Oregon to Andrew and Ida Parsons. Her parents returned to the Buena Vista area near Salinas, where she attended grammar school and Salinas High School.
 Helen and her late husband moved to Hollister in 1946 from Salinas. She worked 35years for the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company and was a member of the Telephone Company Pioneers.
 Upon her retirement she traveled to several parts of the globe with her family and friends. Her favorite pastime was playing golf with the Bolado Park Nine Holers where she enjoyed being outdoors and socializing with her friends. She was a familiar face at her sons’ business, Wright Bros Industrial Supply, where she kept the books until her early ’80s.
 She is survived by her three children, David Wright (Gerry); Margaret Pidd; and Patrick Wright (Kozean), six grand children and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Ruth Wright; sister, Irene Coustette; and brother, Bill Parsons as well as many nieces and nephews.
 Her parents and siblings, Mary Parsons, John Parsons, Grover Parsons, and Anna Nielsen predeceased her.
