Herminia “Minnie” Ramos passed away in Hollister at the age of 93. She was born in Texas and lived in Hollister since 1964, moving here from Huron, CA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose, who died in 1997. She worked for many years in the local cannery, was a member of Sacred Heart Church and The Guadalupana Society.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Rosa and Bill Roberts of Hollister, Elma Ramos of Hollister, Joe and Alice Ramos of Winton, CA and Ramona and Leon Mendiola of San Jose. She was preceded in death by three children, Eva Ramos, Tavo Cavazos and Jose Cavazos. She is also survived by her grandchildren, David, Samuel, Liz, Jaime, Joseph, Marcos, Ronnie, Jessica, Marty, Cindy, Steve, Leon, Amanda, Adam, Edward, Mario, Sandra, Susanna, Sylvia, Irma and Marta. She also is survived by her many great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.

Friends can pay their respects on Monday, April 13, 2009 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. The Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

The Mass will be on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church. Entombment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery. A reception will follow the Mass at the hall at St. Benedict’s Church on Fairview Rd.
