Hoops: Fabing leads SBHS girls to Del Mar consolation title

Taylor Fabing scored 14 points to lead San Benito High’s girls basketball team to a 38-34 victory over Christopher in the consolation bracket final of the Del Mar Tournament on Saturday.

Jacqueline Lerma added 10 points for the Balers, who avenged a 52-47 loss to Christopher in the title game of the Watsonville tourney earlier this season.

Hanna Tabron scored 14 points for the Cougars, who got eight points from Olivia Tabron and six points from Cydney Caradonna.
