Ubaldo DeLeon

Hollister police officers arrested a 34-year-old male on Monday for obstruction of a police officer, battery of a police officer and a felony probation violation.

According to a police statement, officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Buena Vista for a disturbance. When they tried to remove Ubaldo Deleon from a woman’s residence, he refused to leave, according to the police report.

In the report, the victim said she did not know the alleged suspect and had asked him to leave the residence several times. She reported that he became agitated and locked himself in a small shed on her property.

When officers arrived, they attempted to talk to Deleon about leaving the shed, but he refused. When officers got into the shed, Deleon resisted arrest and became violent, according to the police report. Officers reported that they used both pepper spray and eventually a TASER to subdue the suspect.

Deleon was charged with battery of a police officer, resisting and obstructing a police officer and the felony probation violation because he had a warrant out. He is being held on $21,000 bail.
