We adopted Hunter from the San Martin animal shelter a year ago.
Our daughter Tessa (age 11) fostered kittens last summer. We had given them all back to the shelter when they were big enough, but a day later went back to get the cute, fuzzy, orange kitten that we couldn’t live without.
It was the day the Giants won the World Series and because he was orange, Tessa’s Dad agreed we could keep him only if we named him after one of the Giants (Hunter Pence). So he became Hunter.
He has a ton of character and gets along well with our other two cats and dog (all rescue animals). He loves to sleep all afternoon and escapes as soon as we open a door, but always comes back.
He’s just a very large fur ball that has come into out lives for the long haul and we love it!
