Maralyn Miller

Artist Maralyn Miller has been captivated with painting for 65 years. She has painted in oils, acrylics and pastels, but the last few years has been doing pastels more often. Much of her art revolves around California landscapes done in a representative style.
“I love the texture, colors and direct approach you can get with this medium,” Miller said. “The whole process is as exciting to me with each painting I start. Even though I paint nearly every day, I look forward with enthusiasm to the next one.”
Miller has a bachelor’s degree from California College of Arts and she has studied with Randy Sexton, Daniel Green, Claire Verbeist, Terry Ford, Morgan Samual Price and others. She is a member of Oil Painters of America, National League of American Pen Women and President of the Los Gatos Art Association, has been published in Art Collectors of America five times and has participated in the Silicon Valley Open Studios for the last 10 years. Her paintings are found in more than 500 private collections.
