Idamae Sorenson June 8, 1914 – June 28, 2014

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, from 10:00-11:00 A.M., with a funeral service to commence at 11:00 A.M., both at Johnson Funeral Home in Morgan Hill, CA. Interment to follow at Mt. Hope Memorial Park in Morgan Hill, CA. Donations can be made to the American heart Association.

  Idamae Sorenson died peacefully at home on June 28, 2014. She was born and raised, along with her brothers Harold and Dale, on the family farm in Kirkman, IA. Her parents were Harry and Edna V. Slates.
 Her family moved to CA in 1937. She lived in Willows, CA for 46 years, where she and her husband, Paul, raised their family and worked together in the Mobil Oil Corp., had many friends, and was a past Noble Grand of the Rebekahs.
 After retirement, they moved to Morgan Hill, CA to be near family.
 She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Paul Sorenson; son, David Sorenson; and grandson, Matthew Chamness.
 She is survived by daughter, Judy (Hank) Chamness; grandchildren, Susan (Fernando) Soto, Sharon D’Apuzzo, Debbie Corona, Michael Sorenson and partner Galen Duplantis; great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Matthew, Emily, Megan and Thomas Velho, Michael and Katelyn D’Apuzzo, David (Victoria) Corona, John Corona and many nieces and nephews.
 She lived long enought to celebrate her 100th birthday and hold her first great-great-grandson, Colton Paul Corona.
