Hollister – Memorial service planning for fallen firefighter Matthew Will continued Thursday, while an autopsy is scheduled for today, CalFire officials said.

One issue complicating the investigation is the location of Will’s heavy bulldozer.

“His dozer is at the bottom of a ravine and they have to get it out of there,” said CalFire’s Hollister Air Attack Base Battalion Chief Mark Edria.

Will, 30, died Tuesday after he was injured when the bulldozer he was driving rolled over while fighting the Colorado Fire near Big Sur the day before. His organs were being donated Thursday in San Jose.

Edria said he hopes plans for a memorial service will be in place soon.
