Irene Carbone Mosso passed away peacefully at home on February 11 surrounded by her family. A native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, Irene immigrated to the United States in 1937.

Irene resided in Morgan Hill and for the past 35 years in Hollister. She was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Tres Pinos.

Irene is survived by her husband, Edward Mosso and her sisters Gloria Ruiz of Hollister, Evelyn Jensen of Gilroy and Argesa Buscarini of Waterford, Ontario, Canada and numerous nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded in death by her first husband, Dominic Carbone, her sisters Marianna Ianni, Vera Genetti, Mofalda Pascottini, Ida Bisceglia and Lucy Scarfore, her brother Frank Mantello and her parents Frank and Carmella Mantello.

Friends are invited to the visitation which will take place on Friday, February 18th, 2011, from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home and to join the family at Immaculate Conception Church for a Mass of The Resurrection which will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 19th, 2011.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be sent to Immaculate Conception Church, or to the charity of choice. Private graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Visit: www.grunnagle.com for condolences.
