Jack Taylor entered into rest in Monterey, CA at the age of 73. He was born in Anderson, CA, and lived in Seaside for the last 30 years, moving from Redding. He worked for many years as a sales manager in the automobile business and was a member of The Redding Elks Lodge. He married his wife, Sharon, in 1994 in Pacific Grove and liked hunting, gardening and spending time at his cabin in Shingletown.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Taylor of Seaside, his children and their spouses, Robin and Chuck Rodgers of Redding, Lynette and Mitch Madruga of Los Banos, Jim Lierly of Temecula and Jennifer and Vince Tortorelli of Hollister, his mother-in-law, Helen Barnes of Hollister, his brother, Francis Taylor of Anderson and his 9 grandchildren. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Tina Williams of San Jose, Judy Johnson of Redding, Cindy Gallaher of Santa Rosa, Steve Taylor of Santa Rosa and Jon Taylor of Shingletown and his in-laws, Carolyn and Paul Tortorelli of Hollister and Wayne and Lorna Barnes of Watsonville. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Fred Taylor and Richard Taylor and his sister, Betty Mikkelson.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, Oct. 19, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home in Hollister. Pastor Duane Cashion of Grace Bible Church will officiate.
A reception will follow the services at the SDES Portuguese Hall, 7th and College Streets in Hollister.
Donations are preferred to The American Heart Association.
Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory, Hollister. Private family inurnment is planned.
