Jacqueline Marie Pierleoni

Loved and admired for her devotion to family and friends, Jacqueline “Jackie” Pierleoni died Tuesday, April 26th, 2011, at the age of 81.

As she would have it, Jackie was surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ralph, her daughters Carol (Mike) Bundock, Linda (Steve) Galletti and Kim (Bob) Abbott, and her sons Rick (Barbara), Tim (Jen) and Steve (Lisa) Pierleoni.

Jackie was the proud and loving grandmother of 14, and great-grandmother of eight.

Born in Clyde, NY on March 24, 1930, Jackie attended local schools where she met her childhood sweetheart and future husband, Ralph. They resided in Gilroy between 1977 and 1983 while their children attended local schools.

Jackie and Ralph were “dire-hard football fans”, always in attendance at every football game played by their sons, Rick, Tim and Steve, and later coached by, Tim (“Coach P” of Christopher High). Their community support was tremendous.

Once their children were grown, a shared love of sailing led Jackie and Ralph to shed land and live on their sailboat “Fantasy”, for many years. Thereafter, they settled in Windsor, CA.

A celebration of Jackie’s life will be held on Sunday, May 22nd from 1:00 pm to 4:00 P.M. at The Luther Burbank Art & Garden Center, 2050 Yulupa Ave., Santa Rosa.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory should be made to North County Hospice and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
