James Merle Shade of San Martin, CA ,and former long time resident of Salinas, passed away at the age of 70 on Monday, April 9, 2007 at Westland House in Monterey, CA.
Jim was born on October 7, 1936 in Des Moines, IA. He moved to Castroville in the late 1940’s.
He was the owner and founder of A-1 Rents with locations in Salinas, Monterey and two in San Jose.
Jim attended St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Morgan Hill, CA.
Survivors are his wife of 48 years, Carol Ann Shade of San Martin, CA, sons: Corey Peter (Karen Ann) Shade and Randall Lee (Shannon Marie) Shade, both of Salinas, CA, grandchildren: Zachary James Shade, Kellen Ann Shade, and Connor James Peter Shade, of Salinas, CA, sister Gladys Shade of Des Moines, IA, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 2:30 P.M. at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 301 Corral De Tierra Rd., Salinas, CA 93908.
