Janet Evelyn Parr went to Heaven after a long and very courageous battle with cancer. Janet was born on Nov. 25, 1954, in Pineville , LA and passed away in Hollister CA on Oct. 12th, 2009, at the age of 54.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charlene Meade Evans and James L. (“Buddy”) Evans; her sister Tammy Sue Evans Currin; her grandmother Jewell Evelyn Walker Meade (“Mother”); her MaMaw Evans; her uncles Benny Joe Evans, Hershel Meade, and Bobby Meade; and her cousin Cody Tucker Slaughter. Surviving CA family members include her loving companion Kari Ann Bridge; sons Thomas D. Shores (Esmeralda), Stephen A. Shores (Tiffney), Brandon R. Shores (Mary Beth); Daughter Sarah E. Shores (Juan); grandchildren Haleigh, Stevie, and Rowan Shores; sisters Rene (Rick) Rhodes and Lynda (Kelly) Jensen; brother Randall T. Bridge (Laurie); nephews Curtis and Kyle Rhodes and Tanner Jensen; niece Kelsey Jensen; and her California parents Thomas and Wilma F. Bridge. Surviving LA family include her uncles Claude Evans, Dan M. Meade (Linda) and C. Wade Meade; and her aunts Betty J. Meade Boren (Don), Sandra A. Meade, Catherine Meade Slaughter, and Charlene Roshto Meade; brother-in-law Craig Currin. Marilyn Scalia (Mark), and many cousins who will miss her greatly.

Janet received her education at Cypress Fairbanks High School in Houston, TX and her college degree at Tyler, TX .

She moved from Tyler, TX to CA in 1999 and spent the last 11 years in Hollister. She worked for Mark Nicholson Inc. as a Project Manager.

She loved to go shopping, fishing, listen to music, travel, and visit her favorite place – Lake Tahoe.

She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren; and had a kind fondness for all animals.

Friends are invited to a celebration of her life on Friday Oct. 16th, 2009, beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints 1670 Cienega Rd., Hollister. Private interment will follow.
