Born in Tampa, Flor., Janice L. Brown passed away May 20 in Morgan Hill.
She is the mother of Ida Elizabeth Johnson Ferro and her husband, Jose of Merced; grandmother of Brandy Pereira Juarez, and her husband, George, of Morgan Hill, Ligia Fandrey and her husband, Robert, of Morgan Hill and Anntoinette Ferro and Nick Fuentes of Merced; great-grandmother of George Joseph Juarez, Karlie Elizabeth Juarez and Phillip Emery Ferro all of Morgan Hill; sister of Evelyn Burton and her husband, Williamn of Bellvue, Ky. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Emitt Emery Brown and many brothers and sisters.
Jan enjoyed playing slots, pranks, being in the middle of a good fight, a good meal, shopping and spending time with her kids. She loved riding the ferry along Coney Island. She really lived life.
Visitation will be held at 1pm on Thursday May 26. Funeral services will begin at 3pm at Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy.
